Thank you for choosing our office for all your dental needs. We have created a comfortable environment where you can feel confident in the level of dental treatment you receive. When you arrive for your first visit, please be prepared to complete all insurance and health information forms that will allow us to begin your dental treatment. We will ask you to fill out several forms that will get you acquainted with our office. You can also find these forms by clicking here. You may fill them out and bring them with you to your appointment.
Depending on the nature and needs of your first appointment, it may last anywhere from 30-60 minutes. We will review your medical and dental information, address any immediate concerns you may have as best as possible, and also use this appointment to help us get acquainted with each other. This appointment will also allow us to learn about your goals and desires for your oral and dental care. Generally, x-rays will be taken allowing the doctor to examine the jaw structure, teeth position, and any teeth decay or infections present. A general oral cancer screening is performed as well as an exam of your TMJ (temporomandibular or jaw joint). In most cases, we will also clean your teeth during this visit and provide an evaluation that will outline your existing dental problems and proposed treatment. After we review your dental profile, we will discuss our findings and diagnosis with you. Depending on your needs and desires, we will develop a treatment plan that best suits you. We will plan to treat and care for you in our office, however, sometimes a referral to a specialist will be necessary. Oral hygiene instructions will also be provided along with suggestions to help you care for your teeth.
We believe that good dental care begins with open communication. We promise to speak candidly with you about any symptoms present that may require further dental treatment, our diagnosis, alternative treatments that may exist, and our recommendations. Working together, we can achieve a true partnership, with one common goal: helping you “Keep Your Smile!”
