Meet the Doctors

  

Anthony Colaruotolo, D.D.S.

Dr. Colaruotolo is a Rochester native. He graduated from the Aquinas Institute in 1969 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Rochester in 1973. Upon graduation from Georgetown Dental School in 1977, he entered private practice here in Rochester.

Dr. Colaruotolo’s education did not stop after dental school. He has participated in over 1,000 hours of continuing education in all phases of dentistry. His emphasis has been cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, TMJ disorders, dental sleep medicine, Invisalign® and traditional orthodontics. His more recent emphasis in orthodontics has earned him the distinction of Fellow in the International Association for Orthodontics.

Dr. Colaruotolo’s beliefs and practice modalities allow him to deliver the highest quality dentistry possible creating every outcome to exceed the patient’s expectations. This is the “Cornerstone” of his practice.

The doctor is a member of the American Dental Association, the NYS Dental Society, the 7th District Dental Society, the Monroe County Dental Society, the Apollonian Dental Study Club, the International Association for Orthodontics, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

He and his lovely wife, Lenora (Falvo), have five children: Theresa, Jessica, Frank, Joseph and Louis. They live in the town of Greece, where his children are participants in the various Greece youth programs and schools.

The doctor enjoys jogging, bowling, attending sporting events, model trains and reading.

Daniel Palermo, D.D.S.

Dr. Palermo was born and raised in Rochester, New York. He graduated from Gates-Chili High School in 1977 and SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1981. In 1987, he graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry, and a year later completed his General Practice Residency Program at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester. Dr. Palermo entered private practice in 1988.

Dr. Palermo believes in continuing his education and has amassed over 700 hours. For nine years, he also served as a clinical instructor at the Eastman Dental Center and in June of 2003, was honored with the Award for Excellence in Clinical Education. The doctor has also been associated with research at the EDC and has been published in the New York State Dental Journal. Dr. Palermo’s emphasis is on patient education, preventative, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He also provides care with Invisalign, Lumineers, and dental implants.

The doctor is a member of the American Dental Association, the NYS Dental Society, the 7th District Dental Society, and the Monroe County Dental Society.

He and his wife, Jamie (Perticone), have three children: Alexander, Benjamin and Gregory, along with their family dog, Cocoa. They live in the town of Greece, where his children are active in Greece travel soccer (Greece Cobras and Greece Eclipse) as well as other various youth and school programs. Dr. Palermo is very active in youth soccer and has been coaching at the travel level (Cobras) and house levels for many years.

The doctor enjoys playing (over-40 men’s league) and coaching soccer. Hobbies include fishing, golf, skiing and reading.

Marc Malatesta, D.D.S.

Dr. Malatesta is a Rochester native and a graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High School. In 2000, he graduated from Le Moyne College with a BS in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Philosophy. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine in 2006. After completing an additional one year General Practice Residency at the Philadelphia Veterans Administration Medical Center, he returned to Rochester to pursue his passion for dentistry and to serve the community in which he lives.

The doctor believes that continuing education is an integral part of achieving uncompromising excellence in dentistry and is essential in providing the highest quality oral health care. Since graduating only 5 years ago, he has earned over 650 hours of continuing education in all phases of dentistry to include Invisalign, Lumineers, oral conscious sedation, and the use of oral soft-tissue lasers. His more recent interest in dental implants has earned him the distinction of Fellow in the Misch International Implant Institute as well as Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

The doctor’s focus is comprehensive patient care, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and patient education. Dr. Malatesta is dedicated to your oral health and looks forward to helping you “Keep Your Smile!”

In his spare time, the doctor enjoys spending quality time with his family, friends, and his dog, Gino. He also enjoys cars, jogging/fitness, music, sports, cooking, and reading.

Michael Andolina, D.D.S.

Dr. Michael Andolina is a Rochester native and a 1962 graduate of Jefferson High School, a 1966 graduate of the University of Buffalo, and a 1971 graduate of New York University College of Dentistry. Upon receiving his doctorate in dentistry, he entered the USAF Dental Corps with the rank of Captain. In 1973 he returned to Rochester and worked as an attending dentist at The Genesee Hospital. There, he treated patients in all phases of dentistry. He also had a role in the instruction of dental residents.

Dr. Andolina opened his own practice in 1974 on West Ridge Road in Greece. In 1983 he moved his practice to Stone Road. He was at this location until his move to Cornerstone Dental in 2008.

Dr. Andolina has amassed over 750 hours of continuing education. His practice is concentrated in endodontia, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He is a member of the ADA, Seventh District Dental Society, Monroe County Dental Society and the Apollonia Dental Study Club. He has served on the mediation committee for the Monroe County Dental Society.

As a long-time Greece resident, he was involved in the Greece Little League organization. He was a team manager for over ten years. He also served as a member of its Board of Directors.

Dr. Andolina and his wife, Maryann, were married in 1970 and have two children, Kimberly and Mark. Kim and Mark attended Our Mother of Sorrows School, Cardinal Mooney High School and Bishop Kearney High School. They now reside in Boston with their spouses. Each has two children.

Dr. Andolina and Maryann now reside in Victor. Many weekends you can find them on the New York State Thruway on their way to Boston!

Dr. Andolina enjoys many sports, especially golf and skiing. He also takes pleasure in hiking and playing with his grandchildren. He is a gourmet cook, and in his spare time, can be found reading Ken Follett and David Baldacci novels.
